Ban Nong Chim School (Sing Chan Bamrung)
🌸 Founded in 1930 by Phra Rod Sombat, abbot of Wat Ban Nong Chim, and Phra Thui Yenchaiyaphum, who together established and opened informal education for boys and girls at Wat Sutthiwanaram, Ban Nong Chim.
Using the sermon hall as a classroom, with many applicants enrolling.
Later, in 1931, the government officially established the school and appointed Mr. Tun Chanchai as principal. Classes began on 1 September 1931, still using the temple's sermon hall as the venue.
And in 1939, Mr. Chan Daeng Singchan, a village headman of Ban Nong Chim, together with his children, donated approximately 48 rai of land and built a single-storey wooden building with 6 classrooms, costing approximately 1,356 baht at that time, to become government property. This school building was later demolished with official permission according to government regulations. Today, some materials such as pillars have been used to construct a library building, with additional funding from the Nong Chim Subdistrict Council contributing to construction. The official handover ceremony took place in January 1939, with Mr. Ha Boonmachai, then District Officer of Chatturat, receiving it on behalf of the government. The school was named "Prachaban Tambon Lahan 2 (Sing Chan Bamrung)" to honour the "Singchan" family lineage. Later, the name was changed to "Ban Nong Chim School (Sing Chan Bamrung)" as it is known today.
